Therapy for ADHD and autistic adults
Understand your needs. Make room for them in your life.
You may be making it through work, relationships, and daily tasks while using far more energy than anyone sees. Or you may have a recent diagnosis that changes how you understand your life. Therapy can be a place to sort through that without treating your needs as a character flaw.
You might want support with
- Burnout and the demands that keep bringing you back to it
- Masking, belonging, and figuring out what feels like you
- A late diagnosis, self-identification, or questions about ADHD and autism
- Planning, starting, switching, or finishing tasks
- Sensory needs and the cost of repeatedly overriding them
- Rejection, conflict, and feeling misunderstood in relationships
What the work can look like
We can look closely at a difficult part of your week: what it asks of you, where things become hard, and what happens next. From there, we can explore changes in expectations, routines, boundaries, or support.
We can also make room for grief, relief, frustration, and uncertainty. Understanding yourself differently can affect relationships, work, and the story you’ve told about who you are.
An approach that fits you
There isn’t one correct way to participate in therapy. You can ask for more structure, more processing time, or a different pace. We’ll talk about what helps you take part comfortably.
Practical tools can be useful when they fit your needs. The work also includes understanding why something is difficult and what needs to change around it.
Do I need a diagnosis?
No formal diagnosis is required to work with me. You can come with questions, a diagnosis, or your own understanding of your experience. If you’re looking for a formal assessment, bring that up at the consult so we can clarify what you need.
Relevant training
I hold ADHD Clinical Services Provider certification (ADHD-CCSP), and I’m neurodivergent myself. Your experience and goals guide our work.
